In this the Grolier Society's ed. of McClure's trans. [1 The dawn of civilization] forms v. 1-3 (they contain apparently the text of the 4th rev. ed., 1901, but with many notes omitted or abridged); [2 The struggle of nations] v. 4-6. [3 The passing of empires] v. 7-9

In continuation and uniform with the above the Grolier Society has published "History of Egypt ... from 330 B.C. to the present time, by S. Rappaport" [1904] 3 vols., labeled on back History of Egypt, v. 10-12, and "History of Egypt in light of recent discovery, by L.W. King ... and H.R. Hall [1906] lettered on back "v. 13"
